Interlude - Seasons Changing, Adventures Rotating
The Phantom’s plans to capture the Alphas has been foiled, leaving them somewhat directionless. The Alphas, too, are tired from their battle and the two crises they and the adventurers just prevented. With the Alphas now aware of the Phantom Fortress’ location, the Phantoms keep it in place and prepare for the worst. However, the Alphas fear that attacking the Fortress now would prove difficult. And so… they wait.
In a place out of reach of many animals, the Phantoms are hard at work on a new experiment. They’ve begun stealing all of the candy in Jamaa. A mysterious creature saw the Phantoms head through a small portal, and followed them through. It found itself in a spooky forest, and it discovered why the Phantoms took all that candy. They had somehow found a way to use it to create tiny Prototype Phantoms! Soon after, a group of four pets arrive at the scene, coming through the same portal the creature did.
Hidden in the shadows, the creature tells the pets of it’s discovery, asking for their help in taking back Jamaa’s candy. Thankfully, Proto Phantoms are much weaker than their larger counterparts. All the pets will have to do is chase them down and they’ll pop, leaving behind candy. The heroes only have a limited amount of time before the larger phantoms realize they’re there and leave the area. So, they get to work and venture out to save Jamaa’s candy. The group of adventurers finds themselves in a variety of strange and haunting places, including a pumpkin patch, a swamp, a laboratory, a graveyard, and a Phantom cave. They tackle and pop the Proto Phantoms with ease; however, they must be careful to avoid the regular phantoms that watch guard, as they have no way to defeat them.
The pets collect hundreds upon hundreds of pieces of candy, totaling over 1,000! To award them for their hard work in saving Jamaa’s candy, the creature gives them a few gifts in return. Before they leave, the group inquire about the creature’s nature, to which it replies:
Who am I? I can't tell you that. However, I can give you a hint: I'm an animal, and I might have fur... or scales... or wings...

Adventures All Year Along
By this point, the brave adventurers who protected Jamaa alongside the Alphas had gotten quite fond of their expeditions together. After all, for over a year now there had been near-nonstop action for Jamaa and it’s citizens. But now the Phantoms held back, lurking in the edges of Jamaa plotting and scheming their next move. It was almost too quiet. The heroes weren’t ready for their journey to end. Adventuring had become a lifestyle, and they wanted to keep going and share that thrill with others. And so, adventures became something that didn’t require an Alpha in need. They could be anything! Jammers made their own fun as they waited for the Alphas to come back with a new request for them.
In November, a harvest maze was set up for everyone to explore, get lost in, and find prizes.
In December, the Phantoms returned with a scheme. Bitter that their previous plans were stopped, they stole and hid all of the Jamaaliday presents in a giant ice labyrinth. It became the job of a group of new heroes and the Reindeer Delivery Service to find the presents and rescue the Jamaalidays.
In February, Jammers turned delivering valentines for the Friendship Festival into an adventure.
In March, Lucky Day rolled around, and a rumor spread throughout Jamaa. It spoke of an epic treasure chest that when opened could sometimes contain sought after spiked wristbands and collars. To obtain a key for this magical refilling treasure chest, one would have to collect 50 lucky four-leaf clovers and trade them to a mysterious Koala named Patrick. And so, the hunt was on. Jammers began searching up and down for four-leaf clovers for a chance to get lucky.
In April, Jammers put together a spring festival, challenging one-another to find one hundred decorated eggs.
These festivities would prove to be so popular that they became a tradition, held again each year.
Battle for the Beacon - June 2015
While Jamaa was celebrating it’s many holidays it turns out the Phantoms were secretly searching the land up and down. They’re seeking to take back the Fortress Beacon, and have just found it’s location: the Hidden Hollow. It’s a small village on the outskirts of Jamaa, and the Phantoms have launched a full scale attack against it. Greely has gone to the village to protect the beacon itself, but can’t do it alone. So he somewhat reluctantly calls upon any willing adventurer to help push back the invading Phantoms. The jammers are happy to help, and arrive in the Hidden Hollow to join the fight.
The Phantoms emerge from tubes that rise from the ground. As they approach, they pollute the nearby rivers in an attempt to trap the heroes. The pipes are well fortified; some of the best the Phantoms have constructed. But the adventurers push through, dismantling the Phantom’s attack and restoring the streams. As the battle continues on, the heroes come across a handful of Earth Crystals. The villagers in the Hidden Hollow are quite intrigued by these jewels, and offer to trade special items for them.
Jammers were asked to join the battle throughout the rest of the month as the Phantom’s invasion came in waves. Eventually, however, they would pull back. Greely is impressed by how long the adventurers were able to hold the Phantoms off.
