Here are some commonly asked questions. Be sure to also watch my little video on the beta testing to learn more about the testing process the app has been going through!
1. Will the app entirely replace the browser version of Animal Jam?
Nope! The app is simply meant to be another option for exploring Jamaa, especially for jammers that have issues with Flash compatibility.
2. Can I download the app to my Chromebook?
Sadly there is no Chromebook version at this time, but you can always download Play Wild!
3. Will my art tablet work with the application?
At this time some art tablets sadly do not function with the app. We're sure AJHQ is looking into the issue though, and if you'd like to leave your tablet type and driver in the comments we'll be sure to let the WildWorks team know which ones aren't working.
4. Where is the logout button?
There is no logout button at this time, you will have to exit the application and open it again if you want to log on to a different account. The game does not save your password though, so no worries about account security.
5. Can I run it with 32 bit Windows?
Sadly the game does not support older computers/low RAM computers, because Animal Jam needs a certain amount of computer power to play correctly.
6. Will there be less lag?
That depends on your computer! If your browser has issues using Flash, then this application with internalized Flash components will be more straightforward to use. It also depends on the RAM of your computer - older computers will likely have better luck on the browser version.
7. Can I zoom in the app?
Currently the app will allow for most default zooming methods on your computer. Macs use a pinch zoom method with their mouse-pads, and Windows users may find the application "magnifier" to be helpful in zooming on their computer screens.
Be sure to let us know if you have any other questions in the comment section below! After open beta comes to an end, Animal Jam will begin offering app downloads on their main site. Happy jamming!
