Have you ever logged onto Play Wild (Animal Jam) completely lost on what you should do? Did you just create an account on the app and have no idea what you’re supposed to do on the app? Fear not! This article is filled with TEN amazing things YOU can do on Play Wild (Animal Jam)!
*Note I will be using the new names-Animal Jam for Play Wild and Animal Jam Classic for Animal Jam.

Games/ Mini-Games
If you’re an AJC player trying out Animal Jam, you might have noticed there are many different games you never saw on the Classic version. For instance, Stack Attack! This multiplayer game relies on accuracy, length, and skill to win. There are other games such as classic checkers, Beachside Blitz, Log Jammer, and more.
Did I legit lose this game? Yes. Yes I did.
Here’s the list of some of the multiplayer games you can challenge your buddies in! My favorite is Checkers!
There are many different games as well, such as A Puppy’s Tale. This is a story-based game where you have to draw shapes with your mouse to help the puppy defeat phantoms. If you click the sapphire button shown below, you can receive prizes for playing games!
Here’s just a few of the single player games you can play!
2. The Phantom Dimension
As the writer of the series here on the AJA-Ready or Not- I have had to do a lot of research on the Phantoms in Animal Jam. The Phantom Dimension is one cool, helpful place I’ve gone for any sort of information I’d need about how Phantoms work, and why they do what they do.
When you enter a Phantom Dimension Portal, the logo changes!
As shown below, the Phantom Dimension is filled with Phantoms roaming the streets of Jamaa. I thought of this as a ‘parallel universe’ of the dreams and goals of the Phantoms. They want to reign, so this place can give you a glimpse of what life would look like in a Phantom’s eyes if they succeeded.
Here’s what you’ll see once you load into the Phantom Dimension!
You can also fight the phantoms by clicking the sword symbol on top of their heads if you go too close to them. You’ll have to click the circles saying “Tap!” very fast to deal the most damage. It’s a very interesting place to search around, as well as spend spare time unlocking and seeing everything!
3. Pack Runs
Ever wanted to find a group of Jammers to hang out with? Packs are your thing! You can play something called Pack Runs, which gives you very rare items. These Pack Runs are a great way to bond with buddies, while getting cool items!

4. Shops
Are you a Classic player looking for new, different things in Animal Jam? Look around the shops and check out the different items! There are many different items around the stores of Jamaa that are completely different from AJC! There’s a lot of beautiful items you can try and make a look or a den with!
5. Den Decorating
With those new items you got from the stores, now you can decorate a den! AJC players know how frustrating it makes decorating a den, but AJ is much easier in my opinion. There are so many unique ways to decorate a den-and with a vast amount of different dens to choose from, nobody’s den can look the same! Use your style, and create something that represents you as a Jammer!

6. Find the AJ and AJC Differences
If you’re an Animal Jam Classic player, you probably started noticing the differences in AJ pretty quickly. For instance, there are some buildings in AJC that aren’t opened in AJ. There are many small details that you wouldn’t have even thought of. Can you find them all?
7. AJ Academy App and Site
An app and site branched from the game we know and love, AJ Academy is a great resource to learn about animals and do many fun crafts and activities!
The site has tons of different crafts, coloring sheets, science projects, and facts to do! I’ve done a few before, and they’re very entertaining-especially during a time of staying home!
I love the site the most! I love doing the art projects, coloring pages, and projects!

8. Random Outfit Challenge
Ever wanted to try to make the craziest looks with your buddies? This challenge is perfect for you! It might seem quite complex at first, but it’s truly a fun experience. I personally came up with this idea during Quarantine with my family. Here are the steps!
Get a count on how many animals, head, face, neck, back, feet, and tail items you have and write them down.
Have someone pick a random number between 1 and the number of animals you have. Count through and click the animal matching that number. This is the animal you’ll be dressing crazily! (If you’re by yourself, a number generator works just as well)!.
Go to your clothing section, and start with the head items. Have your friend/ number generator pick a number between 1 and the number of head items you have (just like you did with the animals). Count and find which item is the number your friend/ the generator chose!
Continue the steps above with each clothing section (face, back, neck, feet, and tail) until you finish with them. There’s your ‘random outfit!’
To finish it off, you can also do randomized colors. You can have your friend (or you can do this too if you’re doing the challenge solo) close their eyes and pick a random main fur color from the selection.
Continue the ‘closing eyes’ method with your second fur color (if applicable) eye shape, eye color, pattern, and pattern color.
You can also choose to do this challenge with a pet and their clothes if you’d like!
Just like that, you’ve successfully completed the Random Outfit Challenge! It’s a very fun thing to do with your family members as well! Here’s one of my examples!

9. Themed Parties
Every half-hour, the parties on the tab list change. I know I haven’t gone to a party on that list in a long time! You can even try to go to every party! While gathering my screenshots, the Tea Party was the current event.
Any AJC OGs remember the Trading Party in AJC?
I had actually never gone to this party before (I’m just starting to actually get into playing AJ more; I usually played the PC version), so it was fun to experience an AJ party that isn’t in AJC!
10. Visit all of the animal-specific hideouts!
Before writing this article, I had only recently found out these hideouts existed. There are shops with specific items only found in these hideouts. Since my main look in both games is as Arctic Wolf, I decided to check out the Arctic Wolf hideout! (I had only been to the bunny one before I learned about the hideouts being everywhere in Jamaa).
There are animal hideouts in almost every land located in various areas with animal logos on them. Go check them all out and see what amazing adventures come your way!
