Hey, Jammers! Welcome back to minigame pairs, the series in which I cover two minigames in one article. In this pair, I’ll be covering the minigames Wind Rider and Best Dressed. Now without further ado, let’s get into the guide!
Wind Rider
Wind Rider is actually quite simple. Your main goal in this minigame is to avoid the phantoms in your path and collect as many gems as possible. If you make it to the bottom without hitting a phantom, you will be awarded with an extra surplus in gems. Here is a trick that I use in every game I play.
Stay on the right. Phantoms are more likely to appear in the center of the map, so I recommend staying near the edge. Phantoms will block your way on the edge, but not as often. Make sure to weave your way through the phantoms so that you do not get hit. Now, I’m not completely sure, but the treasure chest that you will be awarded (if you make it to the ground safely, of course!) is on the right. I believe that the only way to earn those extra gems is to land on the treasure chest. That is why it is a good idea to stay on the right most of the time!

Best Dressed
Best Dressed is a game based off of voting, so it is crucial that you perform well and try your best. Making a good outfit is your top priority while playing. However, the voting stage can also alter the game in serious ways. Some Jammers vote for the worst Jammer (because no one else votes for them) while others vote for the best (as intended). So, the voting stage can break your game. I recommend doing your best, and try hard! Making a boring or “bad” outfit is probably the worst way to go.
Dressing
Color coordinate! Color coordinating is absolutely your number one priority while dressing. Colors are the foundation to every outfit, good or bad. Finding a good color scheme is always key! For example, if the theme was nature, you would dress with greens, blues, and maybe greys. If you were to get a theme such as “monster” or “gross”, you’d want to randomize your colors as much as possible, or pair contrasting colors. Ex: Red and green, blue and orange, or purple and yellow.
Accessorize! Your outfit is your second priority while dressing. Find clothing items within your color range. Also, try to match your items with the theme as much as possible. Ex: Nature theme- clover hat, green leg armor, green leaf necklace. Weird theme- eyeball hat, heart locket, shark fin / tail. These items should have little to no color pattern.
Voting
Emojis- the emoji you use can actually influence the way others vote for you! If your theme was evil, you’d want to use the vampire emoji. If the theme was creepy, you could spam the smile emoji a bunch of times.
Who should I vote for? I think the best way to vote is to find an outfit that isn’t the best, nor the worst. Find an outfit that you like, but you think others would not like. I’d say, don’t vote for the worst person. Voting for the worst person is a strategy that a lot of Jammers use, so using this strategy as well would just be handing over the winning slot to a person who didn’t deserve it.
